Betty J. Villa

Betty J. Villa, 78, passed away Thursday, January 23. 2020 in her home in Edgewater, Colorado.

Betty graduated from Sargent High School in Monte Vista, Colorado. She worked her entire career as a Pension Representative for the Teamsters in Denver.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Valentina Martinez; her husband, Candelario ""Candy"" Villa and her sisters, Mary, Patricia, Isabel and Edna.

She is survived by her daughters, Geraldine (Vince) Valdez and Carolyn (Ramon) Nuñez and three grandchildren, Angelica Nuñez, Ramon Nuñez Jr. and Vinette Valdez-Graham. Betty is also survived by her siblings, Charlene, Jane, Alfred and Larry. As well, she is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Betty lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. She LOVED the Broncos, Nuggets and college football. She loved creating scrapbooks, floral arrangements and many other crafts.

Visitation is on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 4-6pm and Rosary beginning at 6pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80003. Funeral Mass is on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 10am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 7240 West 12th Ave, Denver, Colorado 80214 with burial to follow at 12pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80235. Reception to follow at Joyful Ballroom Event Center, 3695 West 72nd Avenue, Westminster, Colorado 80030.
