Betty Ann Young

Betty Ann Young, life-long resident of Morgan County, passed from this earth into the presence of the Lord on August 26, 2018, at age 86. Betty was born to Herman and Ruby Linker on January 4, 1932, in Fort Morgan. Betty graduated from Fort Morgan High School, married, was a homemaker for a number of years, and worked as a legal secretary until she retired. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star, enjoyed playing bridge, served as a member of the hospital auxiliary, volunteered at Caring Ministries, and delivered meals on wheels. Betty dearly loved her family and friends, enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and mastered many a crossword puzzle.

Betty is survived by her sister, Sandie; two daughters, Cynthia and Lynn; two grand-daughters, Vanessa and Madelaine; four great-grandchildren, Thomas, Elle, Caroline, and Reese; she was anticipating the birth of her fifth great-grandchild, Grayson. Betty was pre-deceased by both of her parents, her son, Thomas, her sister, LaVonne, and her brother, Donny.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, September 8, at the United Presbyterian Church in Fort Morgan. A lunch will be served following the service. Relatives and friends are welcome.
