Beverley S. Jenkins, age 79, of Centennial, Colorado and a long-time resident of Wilmington, Delaware passed peacefully on September 10, 2021.
Beverley was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, was in the first graduating class of Brandywine High School in 1960 and went on to graduate from Goldey-Beacom in 1962. She retired from Xerox Corporation and also worked for several years at Morris, Nichols, Arsht and Tunnell. She loved a good cheesesteak, and her Aunt’s soft-shell crab sandwiches, the beach and Elvis. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved serving in various capacities at church. She was a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ and that testimony guided and influenced her life.
She is survived by daughter, Catherine McCabe of Littleton, CO (Greg), son, Paul Jenkins (Lisa) of Aurora, Colorado; 8 grandchildren, Matt, Sarah, Michael, Lauren, Parker, Hannah, Lucy and Cooper; 13 great-grandchildren; and her brother Steve S. Smith, Jr. She is also survived by many dear cousins and friends, as well as her church family in both Delaware and Colorado.
A viewing/visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 143 Dickinson Lane, Wilmington, DE 19807 from 9:00am until 9:45, with Funeral service to follow at 10:00am. Entombment will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Hwy, New Castle, DE 19720.
