Beverly Jean Conklin was born in South Denver to Margaret and Orville Nash on July 31, 1931. She died at Brookdale Independent Living as she approached her 93rd birthday; she was surrounded by Richard, her loving husband of 73 years, their daughters Debby, Brenda, and Sharon, grandson Anthony and her brother Bruce.
Bev and Rich went to school together at Thatcher, Grant Jr High, and South High School (class of 1949), and they married in 1950. Bev stayed at home raising their young children while Rich and his twin brother Rob served in the Navy in Korea, then attended DU for their bachelors and masters degrees. Bev and Rich raised their four children in Denver. Rich dedicated his career to the students of the Denver Public schools, and Bev worked as a sales associate at May D&F when their children were older. Always a very attractive and stylish woman with an open and friendly personality, Bev enjoyed assisting women in their fashion choices.
Bev and Rich enjoyed their retirement years in Tucson & Prescott, AZ, returning to Denver in 2020 to spend more time with their daughters and their families. Both enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and making new friends at Brookdale Tamarac Square.
Bev is predeceased by their son, David, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rob and Shirley Conklin, and her sisters-in-law Mary Jo McNeley, and Katy Conklin.
A private ceremony will be held at a later time at Mt. Lindo in Jefferson County.
