Born on October 20, 1936 in Findlay, OH to John August and Melissa Geraldine Bieber. She was active in her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, holding the position of Corresponding Secretary, was Treasurer for ComBus the Commercial-Business Women’s honors club, and belonged to the Women’s Recreation Association.

After a year in NYC, she moved to Boulder, CO, where she worked for the Dean of Admissions at the University of Colorado, and met her husband, Dick, on a tennis court on campus. They married a year later, in 1961.
Bev worked at the University of Colorado until raising kids, Kristin Lee, born in 1966, and Michael John, born in 1967.
An avid dog lover, Bev and Dick raised Shetland Sheepdogs and Cardigan Welsh Corgis. Bev was very active in her dog clubs, including the Flatirons Kennel Club, the American Shetland Sheepdog Association, the Centennial Shetland Sheepdog Club, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America. Bev enjoyed showing her shelties and cardigans around the country and meeting all the wonderful “dog people” in the hobby.
