Bill Chelf of Aurora, Colorado, passed away Friday, February 28th, 2020 at the age of 82.
A Celebration of Bill's life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 5th, at First Presbyterian Church, 1585 Kingston St, Aurora, CO.
He was born November 29th, 1937, in Elmdale, Kansas, to Roy and Neva Chelf. The family moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska in 1948 and he graduated from Scottsbluff High School.
He attended the University of Denver where he obtained his Bachelor's in Business Administration and his MBA. He was united in marriage to Lydia Roberta Milner on October 1st, 1960 in Aurora, Colorado.
He then began working for Red Owl Food Stores until they closed Denver operations. In 1967, he became a stockbroker with what was then E.F. Hutton, now Morgan Stanley, where he retired after 36 years.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church for 54 years where he held many leadership positions over the years.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lydia, three sons Scott (Mary) of Boise, ID, Barton (Lori) of Jacksonville, FL, and Cory (Jessica) of Aurora, CO, as well as nine grandchildren.
