Billy Louise Feagans passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 with treasured friends and her family by her side, in the Denver area. Billy had a full and exciting life. As a young girl, she always spoke fondly of her trips to Diamond Springs, KS where she would spend time with her Uncle Bill and grandparents. The stories she told were numerous and thrilling. As a young adult, Billy danced professionally traveling with a troupe around the country. She taught dance to children near her home in Raytown, MO. She was a fan of the movie cowboys, especially Roy Rogers and John Wayne. She spoke of them often and watched their movies every chance she got. As a mother, Billy was the best. With her character, how could she not be? She had the perfect combination of humor, ethics, and reverence to her roots. As an avid fisherman, camper, and hunter, Billy included Tom and Brenda in everything. Her friendships, work ethic, love, and responsibility to her aging parents and selfless care for everyone were constantly modeled to each person who knew her. As a friend, Billy's relationships ran deep. She maintained contact with many she worked with from her time as a Safeway bakery manager. People who she met traveling the country and snow birding in Yuma AZ during her retirement will all miss her greatly. These friends were what she looked forward to in her later years. ""Happy Hour"" brought more to her than words can express. A hand full of twenty, thirty, and even forty year friendships were so important to her. She will be missed⦠Billy was preceded in death by her loving parents Homer and Mae Gibson. She is survived by her children Tom Feagans of Evergreen, CO and Brenda Stauffer of Lakewood, CO. Billy also had three grandchildren, Christian and Reuben Feagans, and James Stauffer, all who loved their Grandma Billy greatly.
