Billy Hugh Hall, 77 years old, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
Born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, he and his brother Frank were raised by their grandparents on a farm with no indoor plumbing. He had 25% Native American ancestry and was a registered member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
He attended LSU on a football scholarship and graduated with a degree in Physics. While attending LSU he tested into the top 1% for IQ. His IQ allowed him to get into the high IQ society clubs known as Mensa for the top 2% and Intertel for the top 1%. He even had three articles published in ""The Mensa Bulletin.""
After graduating from LSU he found work in the oil and gas field as a wireline logger for Schlumberger. He moved on from the oil and gas industry to sales, where he found his true calling. Always the quintessential salesman, he was fond of saying he could sell ice to Eskimos. He spent 8 years going all over the UK and Spain selling vacation timeshare properties.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed splitting time between Fort Myers and Denver with his wife Kathy, where they enjoyed the company of great friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen Mansfield-Hall of 30 years of marriage, his son Brian Hall, and his daughters Stephanie Lauren of St. Louis and Ann Hall of Los Angeles, his two stepdaughters, Kelly Mansfield and Angela Swanson, his 10 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
For those that knew Bill, he was fond of nice cars, a good scotch, and a great party.
Due to the current pandemic, the family plans to have a Celebration of Bill's Life once circumstances allow. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local blood bank to help others. And, please share memories and condolences for Billy by signing the guest book below.
