Billy Vincent Mathews

Billy Vincent Mathews, 86, passed away November 5, 2006, in Denver, Colorado. He was born May 3, 1920, in Powell, Wyoming, a son of Harry Vincent and Ellen Gale Robinson Mathews. Billy was a long-time resident of both Denver and El Paso, Texas. He was a Navy Veteran of WW II and an active member of the LDS Church. He is survived by his beloved wife & eternal companion of 54 years, Celia Carbajal Mathews; children, Gale & Alan Larson, of Provo, Utah; Vincent Mathews, of Denver; and Gary & Laura Mathews, of Tijeras, New Mexico; grandchildren: Clayton & Jessica Call; Mathew & Marleny Call; Amanda & Arturo Ordaz; Chrystee & David Davenport; Desiree & Olen Call; Brian Mathews; and Eric Mathews. Billy is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Jane Williams. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00am, on Saturday, November 11, 2006, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints/HeatherRidge Ward, 740 Hudson Street, Denver. A viewing will be held at the Church prior to the services from 9:00-9:45am. Burial will take place at 12 Noon, on Tuesday, November 14th, Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd, Denver. Please gather at Staging Area "A" by 11:50am.
