Billy J. Schweer, 81, of Aurora, passed away on August 12, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 20, 1935 in Farlington, Kansas, he was the son of the late Wallace Alfred and Merna D. (Helvie) Schweer. Bill married Betty Fowler on March 16th, 1958 and together they made their home in Aurora, Colorado Bill retired after 25 years as a Master Sergeant in the Air Force in Explosive Ordinance Disposal. He served all over the world, Okinawa, Guam, Alaska, Greece, as well in the Korean and Vietnam wars. Bill traveled with Betty in their RV and enjoyed golfing and rooting for his favorite team, the Denver Broncos. He was known for his great sense of humor, his love of his family and friends. In addition to his wife, Betty Schweer, Bill is survived by his children: Daymond Schweer, Dexter Schweer, Tyleen Schweer Ortiz (John), sister Sharon McDonald (Rick), grandchildren Ethan Hanson (Stephanie), Andrea Hanson, Taylor Schweer, Sarah Schweer, Drake Ortiz, Benjamin Ortiz, four great grandchildren and 21 nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father and mother as well as his brothers Keith Schweer and Kermit Schweer. A Funeral Service to honor Bill's life will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Ft.
