Blake Garrett Palmer, age 19, of Castle Rock, Colorado, passed away on August 24, 2016. He was born on December 6, 1996, to Delwyn and Shanna (Collins) Palmer in Littleton, Colorado. He had a sweet and gentle spirit, and he will be remembered for the compassion and love he showed to everyone around him. Blake graduated from Douglas County High School in 2015, and he was starting school to become an engineer like his father. Blake joined the swim team his junior year of high school, and despite never swimming competitively before, his outgoing personality and work ethic led him to become a team leader his senior year. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a strong testimony of Jesus Christ. He was an Eagle Scout and a powerful example in all he said and did. Blake loved others deeply and withheld judgment. He always took the time to make others feel loved, and many youth and children in the community looked up to him. Blake will always be remembered for his jovial spirit and the light he brought with him every time he entered a room. He was quite the jokester and all who knew him have a story about his sense of humor. He had the brightest smile and gave the biggest bear hugs. Blake is survived by his loving parents, Delwyn and Shanna, and his siblings, Austin (Melissa), Wade (Kimberlea), Landon (Megan), Denya, Britta, and Ryan, as well as three nieces and a nephew. He also leaves behind two special friends, Savannah Williams and Jonny Kidd. Services for Blake Palmer will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Castle Rock Stake Center, 3301 Meadows Boulevard, Castle Rock, CO 80109.
