Robert Earl Speer, 61, of Aurora, Colorado, husband of Judy Speer, was called home to be with the Lord on October 21, 2008, at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora. Bob was born on August 13, 1947, to Christine and Robert Edison Speer. He and his sister Linda grew up in Haskell, Texas, where he graduated from Haskell High School in 1965 and then attended Abilene Christian University. Since 1973, Bob lived in Colorado and has earned accolades and awards for his sales success through SMI (Success Motivation International), and Melco Embroidery Systems, where he has been putting people in the embroidery business for 18 years. Bob's energy, enthusiasm, wit, and concern for others will be missed greatly by his loving wife Judy, his family, friends, colleagues, customers, and many others whose lives he has touched. He is survived by his mother Christine; his sister Linda (Bob Shepard); his wife Judy; his son Justin Waggoner Speer (Mollie); his stepdaughter Jenni Dorrance (Garry) and their children, Harly, Parker and Benjamin; stepsons Ryan Wilson and Randy Hoecher; as well as nephew Jon Shepard; niece Gina Jenkins (Bill), and their children Allison and Jake. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2008, at 7p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1820 Broadway, Denver, Colorado.
