Bobby Boylan

Bobby Boylan was the 2nd oldest child of Napolean and Della Mae Boylan, born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, January 9, 1941. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Velda Ann Boylan Wilson. Bobby attended Booker T. Washington Elementary and High School, as well as Pawhuska High School, participating in various activities in both schools where he played basketball and football. While growing up in Pawhuska, Bobby was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where he was very active in youth activities in the church as well as working taking care of the church. Bobby left Pawhuska during his junior year in high school to live with the late Uncle Charles & Novella Oliver in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Manuel High School in Denver, Colorado. Enlisted in the United States Marine Corps., he served two tours in Vietnam. Bobby graduated from California State University Los Angeles in 1974 with M.S. in Criminal Justice. He worked for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Long Beach Memorial Center, and San Bernardino County Schools. Bobby enjoyed watching college basketball, football, baseball, listening to and playing music. He played six musical instruments – piano, organ, saxophone, trumpet, French horn and guitar. Bobby leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Rebecca, and sons, Jerrell and Ju-Jaun in Chino Hills, California; his brothers: Ura Lee Boylan, Sr. in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Don Edward Boylan (Mamie) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Warren Wisley Boylan (Patricia) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Burnus Leroy Boylan (Beverly) in Norman, Oklahoma, and Nathan James Boylan in Oklahoma City; his sisters: Cecile Yvonne Brison of Oklahoma City, Patricia Kazeen Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and DonEtta Preston (Isaiah) of Oklahoma City; his aunts Margaret Clements of Denver, Colorado, Ernestine York and Louise Bunn, both of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, and LaCreta Coffee of Hutchinson, Kansas; his uncles Wayne Boylan of Inglewood California, Clayton Robb and Ellis Clements, both of Denver, Colorado, and a host of cousins, nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews and friends.
