Life's Journey
Bonnie Beatrice Watson

On Saturday, May 25, 2019, Bonnie B. Watson was peacefully called home to be with our Lord. Born on October 14, 1929 in Port Gibson, Mississippi, she was the sixth of nine children born to George L. and Lennie C. Johnson. Bonnie received her education from Piney Woods Country Life School in Rankin County MS.
In 1948, Bonnie moved to Denver CO to live with her brother Edward. She attended Emily Griffith Technical College, and upon completion, started her career with the City and County of Denver, Treasury/Revenue department. She retired from the Treasury Department in 1993.
Bonnie spent her time pursuing various interests: she followed all sports, especially her local teams - the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets, and the Colorado Avalanche. She took great pleasure and pride in her large flower garden, sometimes working in her garden from sunrise to sunset. Bonnie also enjoyed an occasional trip to Central City and Black Hawk.
One of the things that Bonnie enjoyed most was attending mass at her church, Saint Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, and the ensuing fellowship with the parishioners after the service. She was an active member of Loyola for over 60 years. She served on Pastoral and Finance councils, as well as Altar Sodality and Brady Hall Committee. In 1999, Bonnie received the Emil J. Frei Memorial Service Award in recognition of her many years of unselfish generous service to the St. Ignatius Loyola community.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Aaron Watson. Four brothers: Robert, Walter, Edward and Junious, two sisters: Modestene and Lela. She is survived by her sisters Jean and Catherine, her daughters Connie (Dale) Carnegie, and Veronica Taylor; grandsons Darren (Peggy) Carnegie and Christopher Carnegie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She will be deeply missed.
