Brandon Ray Hicks, age 35, passed away unexpectedly at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, KS, on January 12, 2022. He was born on January 26, 1986, in Springfield, Missouri, and is survived by his parents, Kenny and Judy Hicks, sister, Alyssa, and several aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parental grandparents, Huiey Lewis and Gladys Irene Hicks, and his maternal grandparents, John Thomas and Gladys May Vaughn.
Brandon loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing with his Uncle Tom and his dad, as well as camping and riding ATV’s in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. He had a love for growing flowers and drawing pictures. Brandon previously worked as a carpenter, pipefitter and welder.
Brandon was so much more than his struggles. He never knew a stranger, and would make you feel welcomed. He had such a wonderful since of humor. Anyone that truly knew Brandon knew he had such a big heart. He loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that Brandon is now at peace.
