Brandon Eric Murphy, 15, of Aurora passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at his residence. A public visitation will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2007 from 11:45AM to service time at 1:30PM at Colorado Community Church of Aurora at 2220 S. Chambers Road, Aurora, CO 80014. Horan and McConaty Funeral Home, (Parker Rd) is in charge of the arrangements. With broken hearts we say goodbye to our much loved son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend, Brandon Eric Murphy, 15, of Aurora, who passed August 1, 2007 at his residence. He was greatly loved and is deeply missed by his friends and family. Left to mourn his passing and cherish his memory are his parents, Angie and Eric, brother Tarik, sister Peyton and his dedicated dog, Arrow. Also left to mourn are his grandparents, Barbara, Cheryl and Dan, step-dad Rodney and sister Quincy, as well as many aunts, uncles and close friends, Alex, Tyler, Caylin, Erica, 'lil sis Khalie' and many others too numerous to mention. Our lives will be poorer for his death but so much richer because he lived. There is an outpouring of love and support within his MySpace community. It is obvious he profoundly touched so many lives, with his sly smile, his generous heart, crazy sense of humor and hate for feet. He was sensitive in more ways than we knew and used the house roof as his sanctuary to chill and listen to Tupac. He loved to lift weights, work out and practice with his swords. He always had to have his hair just right. Alex and Brandon would spend hours in the basement playing video Xbox games, or they'd be walking up to the game store to trade-in the one they just mastered for a new game. It is exceedingly difficult to accept his absence. Brandon struggled with all the 'normal' teenage challenges; messy room, cereal science projects left in the basement'I'm sure to his friends it must have seemed like he was always grounded'. However, it didn't keep them away from the house when no one was home. Despite his 'normal' teenage attitudes, Brandon was a tremendous help to his mom. Peyton's walks home from school will never be the same. In addition to helping his mom, Brandon would do anything for his friends and was thought of as family by many. In fact, he probably had more 'mothers' than he'd care for. With everyone having stories of their own to tell of their memory of his life on this earth, his spirit will always live on. The expressions of love, support and concern from family, friends and neighbors are tremendously appreciated. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
