Brenda Elaine Izydorek

Brenda Elaine Perry Izydorek died on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at her home in Centennial, CO. Elaine was born on March 16, 1943 in Oklahoma City, OK to parents Thurmon and Bennie Perry. As a young girl, her family moved to Amarillo, TX, where she attended school and graduated from Amarillo High School. She attended what was then West Texas State University before marrying Frederick William Izydorek and moving to his hometown, Chicago, IL. They enjoyed young married life in Chicago, but ultimately made the decision to transfer to Denver in 1971 to enjoy the near year round sunshine of Colorado. Elaine enjoyed her home and loved hosting family holiday gatherings and friends for dinner parties and game nights. She was the consummate hostess, an excellent cook and enjoyed decorating, as well as flower gardening. She was a master at organizing, whether it was an event, paperwork or kitchen cabinets. She worked for many years at A.C. Nielson in Chicago and Gold Crown Management in Greenwood Village, CO before retiring in 2009. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Fred Izydorek, by her sister Patricia Thomason and husband Jerry of Marietta, GA, her brother Greg Perry and wife Sharon of Frisco, TX and her sister-in-law Marlene Izydorek of Buffalo Grove, IL. She also is survived by nieces Christy Fajer, Cheryl Green, Cindy Tabbert, and nephews Adam Perry and Ethan Perry, as well as a host of great nieces and nephews whom she adored. A visitation will be held at 10:30AM followed by a funeral service at 11:30AM on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue at S. Parker Road, Aurora, CO.
