Brenda Jean Thayer, born March 5, 1958 to Bill and Gwen Thayer, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016. She lived most of her life in Aurora, Colorado and was a 1976 graduate of Gateway High School. As a sister, the bond Brenda had with her triplet siblings Barbara and Brad, as well as her younger brother Steven, was truly special. Just as importantly, her relationships with her nieces and nephews were always a priority and she brought great joy to their lives. She was devoted to her parents and provided companionship and care for her mother after her father passed away. Brenda was dedicated to her job as a bank vice-president. She worked diligently to make certain that things were always running smoothly while displaying a tremendous work ethic and a wonderful knack for solving problems. Brenda truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with friends and family, enjoying her dogs, reading her favorite novels, and playing card games with family. She had a great sense of adventure and loved being outdoors. Her favorite activities included flying kites, hiking, snowshoeing, and horseback riding. Brenda especially enjoyed 4-wheeling on various mountain trails where she was fearless in navigating rough, rocky terrain. She enjoyed vacationing in Hawaii and Sedona, Arizona. Sedona was a special place, as she loved hiking the trials to various vortex sites known for their spiritual and healing powers. Brenda was a selfless person who had the ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She always extended herself to others and took great care in the nurturing of her friendships. She was generous to a fault and would rarely turn down a request for help. She radiated compassion, kindness, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Her impact on others is immeasurable and she will sincerely be missed by all.
