Brent Taylor

Brent Wayne Taylor was born on July 14, 1962 and passed away on May 8,2021. In death, he joins his brother Bary, his aunt Sondra, his cousin Michael, his Uncle Terry and both sets of grandparents in the Lord’s Heavenly home.

He died at his home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Brent was born and lived his life in the Denver area. He graduated from Metro State University with a BS Degree. His career took him to lead and supervise people. He was presently a Supervisor of the Accounting Department at Century Link.

25 years ago, he married and had a daughter, Samantha who will soon be 23 years old. He divorced her mother and raised the apple of his eye as the custodial parent. She was the primary focus of his life.

The other surviving members of his family include his loving parents, Bob and Susan; his sister Traci; her children, Chad and Cole; plus, a large and loving family which includes aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and second cousins. Many lived close or kept in touch. They camped, boated, water skied, hunted, and got together for many family and holiday functions. All were friends as well as relatives.

Brent and Samantha had another group they considered family. For the last 9 years they were heavily involved in the Highlands Ranch Archery Club. They both taught and worked every Tuesday night and Saturday morning. Samantha entered many tournaments. Her success put her on the USA Archery Team. Dad was there cheering her on for each one.

Brent and the shop leader developed a 501 3 C non-profit organization to help young athletes get involved with archery.

“Dear Brent, We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.  In life we loved you dearly.  In death we do the same.  It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you the day God called you home.  You left us peaceful and wonderful memories your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.    Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.”
