Brian Owen Kavanagh

Brian Kavanagh, 77 passed away peacefully July 15th, 2016. Brian was born in Lawrence N.Y. on October 22nd, 1938 to Eileen and Edmond Kavanagh. He had an older sister Patricia and a younger brother Michael. Brian is survived by his wife Connie, son Darin (Maymie), granddaughter Rylie, daughter Kelli (Chris), granddaughters Madeleine, and Jilienne, and his brother Michael. He is preceded in death by his first wife Donna and his sister Patricia. Brian was in the United States Air Force for over 20 years, and retired as a full Colonel in 1984. He then had his own Certified Public Accounting business and taught accounting classes at Metropolitan State and the University of Colorado, Denver. Brian was a devoted member of the Catholic Faith and Church. He was an avid golfer (and was pretty good at it), a fantastic skier, loved to fly – fish, hunt and was an incredible bike rider (did the Ride of the Rockies twice). He also loved to travel. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Service will be Aug 10th, at 10 a.m., at the Church of the Risen Christ on 3060 S. Monaco Pkwy, Denver. Reception to follow after the service.
