On Saturday, August 4, 2018, Brian Daniel Peak â husband, father, son, and brother â passed away at the age of 36 years after losing his heroic battle with cancer. Brian will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend, Julie, and their precious children, John (3) and Oliver (2). Brian will also be forever remembered by his extended family and beloved friends. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Brian was born in East Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 29, 1981 to Daniel Peak and Sharon Luttrell. He graduated from Hillsdale College in May 2005 with a degree in Economics. He received his Master of Business Administration from The University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School in May 2012. Brian and Julie met in Chicago and enjoyed traveling, fun restaurants, and attempting half-marathons. They were married in June 2012 and welcomed their two sons in January 2015 and February 2016. Brian's jobs in equity research have led their family to live in Manhattan, San Francisco, and Denver, where they currently reside. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family and friends, commitment to his career and learning, his extensive book collection, and love of travel and skiing.
Brian's fortitude, perseverance, and bravery over the past eight months will forever be an example to all of us to treasure each day and embrace life.
A private burial will be followed by a Memorial Service for Brian on Friday, August 17 at 11:30 a.m., at Ladue Chapel Presbyterian Church, 9450 Clayton Rd, St. Louis, MO 63124. Reception immediately following at the Church.
