It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Brian Trujillo, 51, of Commerce City, Colorado, who passed away on December 19th, 2024. Brian was a beloved husband, son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. He was known for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved.
Born on June 23, 1973 in Denver Colorado, Brian was a lifelong resident of the area. He touched the lives of many with his infectious smile, generous spirit, and positive outlook on life. Brian had a passion for helping those affected with mental health issues. After retiring from the Commerce City police department, at the rank of sergeant, he joined his wife Nicole in the mental health field to continue to help his community. He was a man who valued hard work, family and the simple pleasures of life.
Brian is survived by his wife Nicole Festa, Mother Dorothy Trujillo, Sister Tammy Wilkes, Brother in law Joe Wilkes, Nephew Kyle Wilkes, Nephew Cameron Wilkes, Son Jacob Trujillo, Daughter in law Hayley Trujillo, Granddaughter Gracie Trujillo and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father Jake Trujillo.
His memory will live on in the hearts of family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
There will be a public viewing of Brian Trujillo on Monday, December 30th, 2024, from 4pm to 8pm at Horan &McConaty Funeral Service (9998 Grant Street, Thornton).
On Tuesday, December 31st, 2024, Brian Trujillo will be fondly remembered at a private service followed by a public reception and celebration of life.
The public event will be held at the South Adams Fire Fighters Association Building at 4711 E. 69th ave. in Commerce City from 1pm to 5pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brian’s favorite charity; St. Jude Children’s hospital.
Brian will be greatly missed, but his legacy of love, laughter and kindness will endure forever.
