Brianna Janelle (Bahl) Newhart, age 39, of Denver, Colorado, went to be with our Lord on 26 February 2026after a short and unexpected health event. She is survived by her loving husband, Jesse, their two beautiful children, Liam and Olivia, her parents Kathie (Cardenas) Bahl and John Bahl, her brother Raymond; sister-in-law Krystal, and their children, Greysen, Elliana, and Christian; as well as much extended family.
Growing up, Brianna was passionate about books, dance, cheerleading, and people. A highly empathic and intuitive person, Brianna was a natural connector who nurtured others on a deep level. She valued service and personal development and championed growth in all those around her. She leaves a legacy of impacting countless people through her family, work, school, neighborhood, and daily life.
Brianna was a graduate of Holy Family High School in Broomfield, CO where she met life-long friends, was a cheerleader and a scholar, and demonstrated a keen work ethic, working after school in retail where she enjoyed helping others and connecting with her love of fashion and creativity.
Brianna then attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, and majored in English. An accomplished writer from a young age, Brianna loved writing for school, work, and personal reflection throughout her life. Bri was even published in the Scary Mommy-Mother Book for accounting her experiences post child birth.
She was also a die-hard CU Buffaloes fan, “bled black and gold,” and may or may not have participated in one or two verbal skirmishes with Colorado State University or Nebraska fans! She and her husband, Jesse, met at an Air Force football game and enjoyed hosting friends and family for tailgating at their home over the years.
Following college, Brianna began her career in Human Resources, where she applied her love of problem-solving and human development to drive transformation for the teams she served. In work and in life, Brianna demonstrated grit, passion, curiosity, and leadership. These qualities drove her rapid career ascent and led to her role as a Chief Human Resources Officer for a global cloud software company where she developed multi-national policies, studied global human resource law, supported teams throughout a war, and led with compassion and strength.
A deeply gifted woman in all areas of life, Bri’s greatest passion was her family. She was an amazing daughter and best friend to John and Kathie. She was also a loving mom to Liam and Olivia, and an unparalleled partner to her husband Jesse. As a family, they loved to play sports, participate in sporting events, attend dances and plays, and travel to warm climates for adventures together. They loved comedy, laughing, and doing art projects together, and shared a love of all types of music. As a mom, she was incredibly proud of Liam’s intellect, spirit, social intelligence, and athletic passion, and Olivia’s intellect, creativity, intuition, and emotional intelligence. She and Jesse’s doors were always open to family and friends and together they loved entertaining–for holidays, sporting events, or just a fun Friday night.
Brianna was always the funniest and usually the smartest person in the room. She had an insatiable curiosity and love of learning, a deep understanding of a wide range of topics, and the ability to talk to anyone about anything. Her passion for life and people instantly connected her to others, and her genuine interest in and care for each person she met made them feel seen, supported, and understood. Brianna loved more intensely than a thousand suns and made each person in her life feel like the only one in the room.
Her grace, passion, support, laughter, and love for others will be profoundly missed.
