Brien lost his bravely fought battle with respiratory disease on December 05, 2022. He died peacefully in his home. Brien was a Denver Native, a graduate of Regis Jesuit High School, and University of Colorado-Boulder. Brien earned a Bachelor of Arts. Brien was an excellent and beautiful skier. He was a high-level ski instructor at Winter Park, Colorado. He especially enjoyed teaching young children to ski. Brien taught our Morgan to ski. What a delightful site to see Brien’s kind and gentle way as they headed up the mountain for a great adventure.   Brien was proud to be a participating ski instructor in the Winter Park disabled ski program.

Brien was an outstanding golfer demonstrating great form and skill. He enjoyed outdoor sports particularly golf and ski outings prior to his illness.

Brien was preceded in death by his parents Gerald T. & Geraldine Levy McCoy, His beloved German Shepard Jake and Grandparents.

Brien is survived by: Brother-Dennis McCoy, Sister-Carolyn McCoy Rink (Neal), Cousin Dana Levy Baldwin (Bob), Niece Morgan McCoy Estrada (Adam), Nephew & Niece Cody & Carter, many dear & special lifetime friends, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Regis Jesuit High School in Brien’s name.
