On February 6, 2022, Briley Claire Howe couldn’t wait to begin her adventures in this world and was born in a hurry that night at Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado. She blessed her Parents Shelby Howe and Steven Kreutzer along with her 5 siblings Olivia, Rylan, Dominic, Savannah, and River with her amazing zest for life and adventurous spirit. The sun set on her journey here on May 22, 2023, at the same place it began. Though her time on earth was brief she took every opportunity to let her light shine bright and her presence be known. She loved when daddy sang her to sleep and the songs he picked just for her, Somewhere Over the Rainbow and Smile, were her favorites. Briley loved trying to keep up with her siblings often chasing them around the yard and trying to do everything they did. When not pushing her shopping cart around the house she was making mommy and daddy help with her love of shoes, often making them change them and never wanting them to match while also not caring if they were hers or someone else’s. Though she was small for her age she thought she was ten feet tall. She loved to eat blueberries and was always interested in trying new foods. She loved helping daddy work around the house, especially when he worked in the yard always running off with any tools she could carry. Briley was curious and adventurous always climbing and dancing around the house. She loved when her siblings would push her while on the swings, laughing and screaming with each shove. She had the most amazing laugh and smile that could brighten even the darkest of days. Briley was a girly girl often changing out her jewelry and helping mommy put on makeup in the mornings. Her cuddles and hugs were the warmest and most heartfelt ever, usually leading to a never-ending number of little kisses and infectious laughs.
Briley left a wake of happiness, love and laughter in her life that will be extremely missed. Even gone, her impact on this world continues to spread with the overwhelming support of family friends and strangers she has brought to help the ones she left behind. The story of her life will continue to grow in in the lives she touched especially her Mommy, Daddy and siblings. She was and always will be our light in the darkness and a beacon of life and hope in our best and darkest hours. God needed a special angel, and he got the best one of all. We love you B and will carry you in our hearts forever.
“Don’t Weep at my grave, for I am not there,
I’ve a date with a butterfly to dance in the air.
I’ll be singing in the sunshine, wild and free,
Playing tag with the wind, while I’m waiting for thee.”
