Bruce Fineman, Md

Bruce Gordon Fineman, M.D., age 72 of Denver, passed away at home on Monday, January 31, 2022.

Born on February 6th, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, Bruce was the oldest of 3 sons born to Phillip & Olga (Giachetti) Fineman.  He attended Fenger High School in Chicago and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois.  Upon graduation he moved to Denver, Colorado to attend Medical School at the University of Colorado.  Bruce practiced as an Internal Medicine physician in Denver for the entirety of his career with a subspecialty in the treatment of diabetes.  He spent many years associated with Presbyterian/ St. Luke's Hospital working with many cherished physicians, nurses, social workers and so many others who remained his lifelong friends.  It's my greatest hope that all those who knew Bruce will remember not only his dedication to medicine but also his fun-loving side which brought us so many smiles & much laughter through the years.

One of Bruce's many interests in life was history, in particular, all history involving past American wars, and it was the Civil War that captured his heart.  It brought him great joy to research and present talks surrounding the subject.  He attended many events sponsored by the Civil War Trust and visited as many battlefields as possible.  He was a member of several organizations supporting this period of American history.

Bruce is survived by his wife Stephanie, brother Cliff(Sue) Fineman of Idaho Falls, Idaho, niece Rose and nephews, Mark and Todd.  Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Olga and brother Keith Fineman.
