Bruce Howard Kolberg, M.D.

Bruce Kolberg, M.D., 55, of Cherry Hills Village, died peacefully on February 3, 2009, surrounded by his family and friends. Born January 17, 1954 in Niles, MI, he was the youngest of seven children born to Leo and Dorice Kolberg. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1976, and from Wayne State University College of Medicine in 1980. He completed his OB-GYN residency at the University of Iowa in 1984. He married Michaela McDonnell on June 16, 1984, and they moved to Colorado, where Bruce was in private practice in Englewood for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Michaela; four children, Matthew Leo, Allison Marie, Kristen Laura, and Courtney Anne; brothers, Dean (Judy) and Edward (Joyce), sister Peggy (Don) McNew, and brother-in-law, Garland Whited. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Whited. Visitation will begin 6:00 PM Thursday, with a Rosary at 7:00, Horan and McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Friday, Church of the Risen Christ, 3060 S. Monaco Pkwy. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. A memorial is established with Havern School, 4000 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Littleton, CO 80123.
