Bruce Wayne Pickering passed away at the age of 85 years old, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Westerly Rhode Island April 23, 1936, and gone February 9, 2022, Bruce leaves behind wife of 64 years, Patricia, as well as his four children Michael Pickering, Richard Pickering, D’Ann Keough and Amy Nichols, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. As a 20-year Veteran of the United States Air Force, Bruce retired as a Master Sergeant and received many honors during his time, such as the Meritorious Service Medal and the Air Force Longevity Service Award. Bruce continued in service to his country working for the U.S. Postal Service until retirement.
Services to celebrate and honor him will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022, starting at 10:30 AM located at Horan & McConaty Centennial, 5303 E. County Line Rd, Centennial, CO 80122. Military honors will be hosted at Fort Logan National Cemetery Wednesday, February 23 at 1:00 PM 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236. A reception following the ceremony at Ft Logan will be held at 2699 S. Newcombe St., Lakewood CO 80227
