A. Bryan Macek, 59, of Centennial, Colorado passed away September 1, 2024 after a brief battle with liver cancer. He was born May 18, 1965 in Berea, Ohio, and is preceded in death by his parents, Albert J. Macek and Donna C. (Boughamer) Macek. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Kintigh Macek (Centennial, CO), son, Mark Macek (Centennial, CO) and sister, Sharen Macek (Brownsburg, IN). Bryan graduated from Plainfield High School in 1983 in Indiana and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Indiana University in 1987. He met his wife playing golf in 1993 and they were married a year later, in 1994, in Black Hawk, Colorado. They welcomed their only child, Mark in 2003 and lived in Centennial. Bryan was just 6 weeks shy of celebrating his 30th wedding anniversary with his wife, Andrea. He worked 15 years in the cable television industry until 2002. In 2004, Bryan began a 20-year career in the Financial Compliance field as a Certified Anti Money-Laundering Specialist trying to make it difficult for criminals to move money around the world. Bryan loved playing golf, following the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Indiana University, and The Ohio State University sports teams, panning for gold in Little Dry Creek, and having a political discussion with family and friends. He always found time to support his son playing sports. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Horan and McConaty Memorial Garden, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, CO. A reception will immediately follow.
