C. Richard Pyle

April 5, 1928 — April 19, 2009

C. Richard Pyle (Dick) was born April 5, 1928, in Hellam, Pennsylvania. He worked for H.F. Regenthal and Son, a candy factory in York, PA, until he joined the Army on April 1, 1946. He was stationed at Camp Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado. When he was honorably discharged on September 30, 1947, he returned to York. He married Pauline on February 28, 1948. He spent his early working years in sales with companies like Jewel Tea and Fuller Brush and finished his sales career selling windows. He moved his family from Pennsylvania to Minnesota in 1969 and then from Minnesota to Colorado in 1974. He founded Vinyl Sash, Inc. in the Denver area in order to sell, manufacture and install windows. The company closed in 2008. He is survived by family members who will miss him: wife Pauline; daughter and son-in-law Paula and Gary Schwartz; daughter and son-in-law Carol and Mark von Soosten; grandson and wife Richard and Jennifer Schwartz and grandson Paul von Soosten. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, 2:00PM, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2100 Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood. Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Kindergarten, 2100 Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, CO 80214.
