Caliope E. Pissare

April 6, 1929 — May 22, 2008

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Caliope was known for her strong faith and generous spirit. Born in Campbell, OH and raised in Athens, Greece, she spent most of her years in Glens Falls, NY before moving to Colorado. Her greatest joy was caring for her family. Preceded in death by her husband Emmanuel. Survived by her children, Metropolitan Nicholas of Detroit, Michael (Linda) and Pantelis (Gail) Pissare and Niki (Richard) Mott; grandchildren, Cynthia, Calliope, Jason, John, Kalliope, Nicholas and Matthew; siblings, Kay Tsakizis, Mary (Michael) Fidopiastis and Nikoletta Kalouma and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Trisagion, Wed., 7PM and Funeral Service Thurs., 10AM, both at Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial at Fairmount Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Assumption Cathedral Philoptochos or the Metropolis of Detroit Scholarship Fund.
