Can (John) Eryigit

Can (John) Deniz Eryigit was born in Istanbul, Turkey on August 3, 1993. He moved to Colorado when he was 12 and attended Mullen High School. In 2015, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business/Finance from Regis University, followed by a Master of Science in Business Administration in 2022.

Can had an infectious, genuine smile and a hearty laugh that would fill a room. Can, whose name meant "life," had a joyful spirit and a profound appreciation for all of life's beauties. He grew up playing soccer from dawn to dusk in the streets of Istanbul and spent his summers playing in the Aegean Sea. When he moved to Denver, he took up football, wrestling, and lacrosse. He loved the mountains as he loved the sea and spent many weekends hiking, skiing, mountain biking, and camping, always accompanied by his best furry friends, Pip and Roo.

Gifted with a generous and deeply caring heart, he loved to share life's joys - from music to food to adventures in nature - with his girlfriend, family, and friends. A passionate and devout Catholic, he had a sensitive heart and a pure soul. Although he is missed, he continues to bless all those who knew him with memories of his humor and joy.

Can Deniz Eryigit passed away on December 19, 2022. He is survived by his parents, Megan Flanagan and Bulent Eryigit; step-father, Kevin Flanagan  sisters, Rose, Peri, Sevgi; nephew Edward best-friend and love, Kendra; many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
