Carl Lee Chritz

Chritz, Carl Lee, 53, of Arvada, Colorado passed away March 10, 2012. He was born June 26, 1958, in Midland, Michigan. He attended Michigan Technology University in Houghton, Michigan where he received two Associates degrees in Electrical and Electromechanical Engineering. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Power Engineering from the University of Colorado at Denver. He was a professional engineer employed at Peak Power Engineering as a project manager. He married Anne Swanson on June 4, 1983. He enjoyed coaching his sons in baseball and his daughter in softball. He especially loved the outdoors, particularly four-wheeling, skiing and biking. He is survived by his wife, Anne, his children Kevin, Brian and Michelle, his brothers Paul and Jim of Midland, Michigan, and in-laws Don and Marian Swanson of Iron Mountain, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Fran. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 15, from 6:00-7:00PM, with Rosary at 7:00PM, both at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home at 7577 W. 80th Ave. Arvada. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, March 16 at 10:00AM at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community Church at 7400 W. 80th Ave., Arvada, with lunch to follow. Donations will be made in Carl's name to charities of his choice to be designated by family.
