Carla Johnson

The beautiful Violet Carla Johnson went to be with Jesus on May 12th at the age of 77.

She was born in Minden, LA on February 21st, 1944, she was raised there, lived in Massachusetts briefly until her father received orders to Japan for his service in the Air Force. This is where she met the love of her life and got married 52 days later.

She had two beautiful children and raised them along with working a career in real estate. She and her husband bought a hotel in Glenwood Springs where they worked for 15 years until retiring around the age of 50. They moved down to Denver and bought a beautiful home close to their children and grandchildren so that they could be close to them. They were married for 62 years.

She was a firm believer in Christ and taught everyone to be kind, never judge, and love one another. Mimi is what her grandchildren named her and they adored every second spent with each other.

Carla is survived by her loving husband Ray Johnson, daughter Dewanda Johnson and her husband Scott Thompson, Granddaughter Amanda Tschetter and her boyfriend Jonny Anderson, grandson Joshua Tschetter and his wife Leticia Tschetter. She is preceded in death by her son Randy Johnson, son in law Grant Tschetter, her mother Lillie Govone and father Henry Govone.

Services to celebrate her life will be held at Horan McConaty, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014 on May 22nd at 11AM.

Relatives, friends, friends of the family - all are welcome to come and celebrate her life and love on her family who is so saddened by this loss. There will not be a viewing.
