Carlene Ann Hansing

Carlene Ann Hansing, aged 63, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018 in Denver, Colorado. She was born May 29th, 1954 in Chandler, Arizona and grew up in Apache Junction, Arizona. She married Samuel Hansing on September 1st, 1973 and her and Sam raised three daughters. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Education and then pursued a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. From here, she enjoyed 14 years teaching elementary students. Carlene truly lived life to the fullest through simplest pleasures; socializing with friends, watercolor, Mexican food, long walks, animals, dragonflies and butterflies, flowers, manicures and pedicures, and family vacations. Carlene always put her family first and brightened everyone’s day with her compassion and laugh. Her daughters describe her as their best friend and she will be truly missed. She is survived by her husband, Samuel, her daughters; Heather, Samantha, Amber (Dan) Morrow and two grandchildren, Charlie and Kate Morrow; and many friends and family. A celebration of Carlene’s life will be held on Monday March 19th at 9:00 AM for immediate family members at the Horan and McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S. Wadsworth Boulevard Lakewood, Colorado 80227.
