Carlene Janet McGee

Carlene McGee passed away peacefully on May 6, 2014, at the age of 79 years old. She was born to Flossie Marie Bowles (Himes) and Carl John Himes on February 18, 1935 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She had a sister, Eileen Williams (Himes)(deceased) and brother, Mike Himes. She married the love of her life, Joe McGee April 10, 1955 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. For years Carlene played piano in the church while Joe sang. Sadly after 36 years of marriage, Joe passed in 1990. The love was so strong, Carlene never re-married and her final wish was to be reunited with the love of her life in heaven. She is survived by her three children, Jana Kay and husband Wayne Melberg, ""Skip"" Joe Scott McGee and wife Vicki, and Lisa Gail and husband ""TJ"" Ken Morris. She is also survived by her 5 Grand Children, Tony, Mitch, Shana, Aric, Sydney and 10 Great Grand Children, Logan, Trinity, Chloe, Zoey, Leia, Morgan, Liam, Kynsi, Ashlynn and Amber. Carlene enjoyed spending time with her friend Sandy, going to lunch and out for midnight coffee and pie. She cherished the time that she spent with her best friend who was also there for much support. Interment will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver CO 80235, on Friday, May 16 at 1pm. Staging area ""A"".
