Carlos Samuel DeHerrera, 76, of Littleton, CO passed away on May 2, 2023. Carlos was born on June 17, 1946 to Felipe and Eloisa DeHerrera in Mora, NM. After Carlos graduated from Mora High School he went on to serve in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968. After serving in the Army, Carlos became a profound sheet metal worker in Colorado.

On April 20, 1968, Carlos married the love of his life Elsie DeHerrera and they had two sons, Arvin and Michael DeHerrera. Carlos is survived by his wife, two sons, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren two brothers and one sister. Carlos had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition Carlos was a part of many organizations including the Knights of Columbus where he was a 4th Degree Knight and served as a Grand Knight twice. Carlos was an active member of the VFW, VVA (Vietnam Veterans of America), the American Legion, Cursillo Movement and they hosted the Pilgrim of O.L.G.

Carlos was a Parishioner at Holy Name Catholic for 55 years where he dedicated his time being a Eucharistic Minister, an Usher and part of the Choir.

Carlos loved to travel with his wife and often joined her on her pilgrimages. He loved spending time at the ranch with his grandkids, working in his garage and watching the Denver Broncos play.

Rosary Sunday, May 14, 2023, 5:00 pm. Funeral Mass Monday May 15, 2023, 10:00 am, both at Holy Name Catholic Church, 3290 West Milan Ave., Sheridan, CO 80110. Interment 11:30 am, Fort Logan National Cemetery.
