Carol L. Gallo

Carol, of Arvada, Colorado assumed her rightful place in Heaven on September 21, 2017. Born on September 10 in Graettinger, Iowa, Carol was the third of five children born to Dan and Rita Higgins. Her early years were spent in Iowa and Nebraska before moving to Denver in 1955. She married the love of her life, Rich, on November 21, 1959. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and football fan who faithfully followed the Broncos and CU Buffs. An ardent music lover, she equally enjoyed the symphony or rocking out to Elvis. Carol was at her best when surrounded by family and friends and was loved by many. Carol is survived by her six children, Richie (Suzie), Pat (Jessica), Greg, Matt (Sheila), Tracy (Cathy) and Kathleen Curtis (Al); along with her grandchildren, Justin, Erin, Andy, Lynzie, Jason, Alexandra, Nick, Hayden and Ethan; great-grandchildren, Walter, Audrey and Quentin; sister, Patricia Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her husband; daughter-in-law, Gigi; sisters, Rita and Kay; and brother, Terry. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 26, 2017, from 5-7 PM, with Reading of Eulogy & Sharing of Memories beginning at 7 PM; Funeral Mass, Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 9:30 AM, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 W. 80th Ave., Arvada, Colorado 80003. Interment will follow beginning at 1:15 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area ""C,"" 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado 80235.
