Carol Jean Heckmaster

Carol Jean Heckmaster of Denver, Colorado was born December 20, 1935. She passed away June 20, 2019. Raised in Menasha, Wisconsin, she is daughter to George and Gertrude Stelow, and sister to Gwen Jelinski.

Moving to Colorado in 1960, Carol met and married Charles ""Chuck/Charlie"" and had four children: Troy (Tina), Terry (Theresa), Toni (Sean) and Trent. She is a loving Grandmother to Jackie, Aaron, Cydney, Taylor, Andria, Bryan, Tom, and Raegan.

Strong and supportive, she is honored for the numerous roles and activities she fulfilled in caring for the home and raising her family. Chuck and Carol's love for the Denver Broncos has been passed down 2 generations and brought many family memories since purchasing season tickets in 1969. She also participated in a 9-Hole Ladies Group at the country club where she and Chuck were members, and bowled with the ladies during the winter months.

Other favorite past times included attending Catholic Mass, bubble baths, watching the Hallmark Channel, reading a good book, sewing and catching up with friends and family on the phone or around her kitchen table with a cup of coffee. Carol was happiest when her home was filled with the people she loved. Her home was the gathering place for football games, holidays and just to stop by.

With her grandchildren, she was generous in her love and support, a good listener, and wise in wisdom. She instilled teaching memories in baking cookies, cooking, sewing and more. BINGO outings and sleepovers at her home were always treasured events.

Carol was a light in every life she touched. Her nurturing heart and genuine care for others combined with her spunky and sassy personality made an everlasting impact and will be carried on forever. As the heart of the family, she will be sadly missed.

Wishing her peace and comfort as she is joined in Heaven with Chuck and Trent.

A Funeral Mass honoring Carol's life will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 1:30 pm, St. Frances Cabrini Parish 6673 W. Chatfield Avenue, Littleton CO 80123. Visitation will be in the gathering space of the church from 1-1:30 pm.

Please join us immediately following the service for an off-site open house. Details will be provided at the service.
