Carol Corrine Krapf

Carol Krapf passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the age of 84. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Elden; sons Scott, now residing in Texas; David, now residing in Illinois; and Mark and his wife Mary, now residing in Colorado. Carol is also survived by her grandchildren Katie, Michael, Jennie, John, and Nicole, and sisters Colette Lawrence and Susan Nagel, both of Peotone, Illinois, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was born in Peotone, Illinois on January 5, 1933, to Edwin and Caroline Carstens. As a registered nurse, she spent her working career in the medical field and obtained a master's degree in nursing. Carol was the first on-site nurse for the Peotone School District and also taught nursing at Kankakee Junior College. A celebration of life for Carol will be held at a later date. She will be missed.
