Carol Ann Walker

August 18, 1955 — April 1, 2025

"Carol Ann Larkin Walker was born on Thursday, August 18th, 1955, in Northglenn Colorado. She was the second child of John and Lieselotte Larkin, between her siblings, John & Dana. The middle child of a Colorado native and a German immigrant, Carol Ann grew up fiercely independent and dedicated to carving her own path.

After graduating from Northglenn High School in 1973, she married her husband, Clint. Carol began her career in the Telecommunications industry working on the assembly line in the Western Electric factory on 104th Avenue in Thorton. She worked diligently for many years, and after a series of promotions, she became a coach and a Senior Escalations Manager at Avaya Communications. Deeply committed to achieving her goals, she returned to school to receive a Bachelor's degree from Regis University.

In 1985, at 30, she became a mother to her only daughter, Alana Rae.

Although Alana was her only child, Carol was undoubtedly a dedicated mother and trusted companion to so many others.

Carol Ann lived her life to the fullest. She never backed down from a challenge or a chance for adventure. She enjoyed traveling, long motorcycle trips, camping, writing, and spending time on the water. Boating was a big part of her life, enjoying many summers on Lake McConaughy and Pueblo Reservoir. She made countless friends in every marina. Eventually, she seized an opportunity to sail multiple times through the Gulf of Mexico on the legendary sailboat, Pearl S. Buck with her favorite travel partners, her husband, Clint & beloved friend, Bryan Nellor. She explored many places like, Great Abaco Island, the Bahamas, the Panama Canal, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Brazil. Of all the places she traveled, her favorite was anywhere she could spend time with her family.

Carol passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and her closest friends on the evening of Tuesday, April 1st, 2025.

Carol is survived by her husband & best friend of 52 years, Clinton C. Walker, her loving & devoted daughter, Alana Rae Walker Brooks, son-in-law Shaun Brooks, and “Grand-Doggy”, Bones. She is also survived by her nephew Kasey & family Adriana and Kaden Larkin. Carol's love lives on through her connections with amazing friends, Kerry & Bob Workman and Claudia Luque Sainz & family.

Carol Ann Walker is dearly loved and missed every moment of every day. Her legacy of strength and compassion will continue throughout time and space with the intensity of her spirit and the depth of her heart.

Rest in peace & never-ending love, Mama. Forever and ever and always🤍."
