Caroline B. Christopher

Caroline Burrell (Graves) Christopher, 85, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024. She was born on April 8, 1939, and was a beloved sister to Cherlyn Price and Mark Graves, as well as Carl and Lucky Graves who both proceeded her in death.

A graduate of Saint Francis High School, Caroline married her high school sweetheart, Gordon Michael Christopher, in 1959 at Saint John’s Catholic Church. Together, they shared 63 years of marriage before Gordon’s passing. Caroline leaves behind a legacy of love in their seven children: Rita, Michael, Michelle, Christine, John, Thomas, and Theresa. She is also survived by over 125 grand, great-grand, and great-great grandchildren, as well as many others who were not related by blood, but still called her “Grandma Carol”.

Carol dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home mother and homemaker, finding joy in caring for her children and family. She was deeply devoted to her Roman Catholic faith, with a special devotion to Mother Mary. Known for her selflessness and caring nature, Carol made everyone around her feel cherished. She kept a detailed book with birthdays and special events of every person she met, ensuring no one was ever forgotten. Her intentionality extended to her prayers, as she carefully noted down the prayer intentions of those who shared them with her.

Carol especially loved spoiling her grandchildren, often taking them on trips uptown for a sweet treat. She was always overjoyed to share with anyone who would listen about her 100+ grand, great, and great-great grandchildren, and the joy she felt when a new one was on the way. She also had a love of classic old movies, especially if they included Dean Martin, Rita Hayward, Al Pacino, or Jeff Chandler.

Those fortunate enough to know her were blessed to have her as a powerful woman of prayer on earth. We pray that she is continuing to intercede for us now, alongside her husband in Heaven.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, who cherish the precious memories they hold of her in their hearts.

A rosary will be held at 1:45 P.M. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Thursday, October 3. This will be followed by the funeral mass at 2:30 P.M.

The burial will be on Friday, October 4, at 1:00 P.M. at Seven Stones Cemetery: 9635 N Rampart Range Road, Littleton, CO.
