Carolyn 'Jan' McGrady

Carolyn ""Jan"" Mcgrady lost her battle to ovarian cancer on September 25th 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by her parents Elsie Bowers and Forrest Brown, Brother Don Brown and great-grandson Tristan Frankel. Survived by husband John Mcgrady, son Stephen Dean of Centennial, Co, daughters Lisa LaTorre and Leslie Frankel of Parker, Co, sister Billie Ann Colvin of Lynchburg, VA, grandchildren Nicholas Frankel, Lauren Frankel, Stephanie Dean, Michael Dean, Daniel Dean, Mathew LaTorre and Curtis LaTorre. Jan was born in Ft. Worth, Texas and grew up in northern San Diego county. She settled in Aurora, Colorado and retired with the Marriott Corporation. Jan enjoyed camping, bingo, slots at Blackhawk, family vacations, Major League Baseball, cooking, the family dogs, Nascar, family reunions in Texas and Oregon and sleepovers with her grandkids. She was a true American gal and loved her country. She was a strong supporter of the men and women of our U.S. Military and the veterans of this country. She will be missed by family, friends and all those who knew her. A Memorial Service for Jan will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E.
