Ruth Murray, 92, of Cherry Hills Village, Colorado passed away on January 30, 2016 surrounded by love. She was born on May 17, 1923 to Helen and Leo Mason. She is survived by her daughter Cydney Murray Marsico and her daughter's husband Thomas F. Marsico. She will live on forever through her grandchildren Jennifer Marsico, Peter (Mari) Marsico and Jimmy (Audrey) Marsico. She was blessed to have four great-granddaughters, Dylan Marsico Milo, Olivia Marsico Milo, Hunter Marsico Milo and Emerson Marsico. She was preceded in death by her husgand Earl Nelson Murray and her brother Warren Mason. Throughout her life Ruthie loved her family and her friends above all. She helped manage E. N. Murray Company after her husband's passing. She grew up in Pratt, Kansas before moving to Denver as a child. She attended East High School and then graduated from Golden High School. She married Earl Murray, an SAE from Colorado School of Mines. They resided in Golden, Colorado for 40 years. Ruthie attended the University of Denver and was a member of the Gamma Phi Sorority. She lived a remarkably full life. Skiing and playing golf were her first loves. She spent 17 years enjoying the winters in Palm Springs at PGA West and Eldorado with new friends. Ruthie and her husband were members of Arlberg Club of Winter Park, Garden of the Gods, and Denver Country Club. Mainly, she was the most devoted and loving mother anyone could ask for. She loved her bridge games and different groups of friends throughout the years, whether in Golden, Denver, Lakewood or Palm Springs. Ruthie volunteered her time at The Children's Museum of Denver. She took great pride and joy in the new reopening of the Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus. She has left a legacy of determination, strength and joy of life. Ruthie's personality touched everyone who met her because she radiated love and kindness. Ruthie's life will be celebrated at Cherry Hills Country Club on Tuesday, February 2nd from 4 until 6 PM with her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, a program will be established in her name to create a Ruthie Murray Scholarship Fund at the Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus.
