Carolyn Jean Nutzman

Carolyn Jean (Nelson) Nutzman, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on August 19, 2012, after an extended battle with illness. Carolyn was 72 years old. Carolyn was born in Holdrege, Nebraska on February 21, 1940. She grew up in Holdrege where she graduated high school in 1958. She married Robert (Bob) Nutzman on September 28, 1958. Together they had three children. In 1975 they moved their family to Casper, Wyoming where Carolyn worked in the oil industry before retiring from Natrona County School District in 1996. In 2008 she and Bob relocated to Aurora, Colorado to be closer to family. Carolyn was a very loving wife and mother. Her passion was her 4 grandchildren. She and Bob enjoyed years of traveling with friends and fishing at Glendo. Carolyn is survived by her husband Bob; her children Julie (Andrew) Thompson of Gig Harbor, WA, Jayne (Doug) Arithson of Centennial, CO and Jim (Julie) Nutzman of Kearney, MO; grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Bailey and Brooke. She is also survived by her sister Mary Coffey of Lincoln, NE. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Roy B. and Frances E. (Trout) Nelson and brother, Gary R. Nelson. Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue (at Parker Rd.), Aurora, CO 80014 at 3:00 in the afternoon.
