Helen Carolyn Keller Reuben, age 84, died at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado on Tuesday, February 18, 2020. Her death was from unexpected complications related to a fall.

Born February 7, 1936 in Texas, Carolyn moved to Denver, Colorado as a young woman and worked as a legal secretary for Holland & Hart LLP until her retirement. It was in Denver that Carolyn met Bo Reuben and the two were married in 1976. Educated in the Catholic school system in Texas, Carolyn maintained a strong faith throughout her life. She was an active member of the Risen Christ Catholic Parish in Denver, including singing in the choir.

Carolyn was a lifelong friend to many, with friendships ranging from childhood to those she befriended spanning decades in Colorado. In addition to singing in the choir, Carolyn enjoyed various activities with others including golf and bowling.

As a relative of deaf-blind Helen Adams Keller, she carried on the family name Helen Keller, but was known to her friends as Carolyn and her grandsons as Grandma Carolyn.

Survivors include stepchildren, Randy J. Reuben of Denver along with her husband Rob Lowe, and sons Chris Lowe and Don Lowe, also of Denver and Charles ""Chuck"" W. Reuben, Jr. of Steamboat Springs, CO along with his wife Carrie Reuben and sons Andrew Reuben of Austin, TX and Brett Reuben of Brooklyn, NY; as well as Margaret Morris of Manchester, NH.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James S. Keller of Texas and her husband Charles ""Bo"" W. Reuben.

A funeral mass for Carolyn will be held at Risen Christ Catholic Church, 3060 S. Monaco Parkway, Denver, CO on Tuesday, February 25th beginning with a Rosary Service at 9:30 a.m. A graveside internment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, 430 South Quebec Street.
