Carolyn “Kay” Ann Sigler, age 80, passed peacefully in Aurora, Colorado on December 16, 2020. She loved the Colorado Mountains, fishing, gardening, the Denver Broncos, the king himself, Elvis and her family. Born March 4, 1940, in Hannibal, Missouri to Flavin and Laura Charlton, she was the 8th of 9 children. Shortly after marrying her beloved husband Teddy “Jack” Sigler in 1965, they decided to move to Colorado to raise their family.
She was an incredibly hard worker and had an impeccable work ethic. She retired from FDC after 35 years of service but went on to work until 2018 when her body at the age of 78 forced her to fully retire.
Kay’s accomplishments in life were not accompanied by degrees or awards. Instead, she won the hearts and admiration of many and gave of herself selflessly. She had the love and devotion of her family and friends and will be missed by all.
Kay is survived by her children, daughter Terry of Denver, and son, Jack (Kayla) of Highlands Ranch, and four grandchildren, John Sigler, Ashley (Decker) Freeman, Christa Conville, and Logan Sigler. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings.
A private family viewing will be held followed by interment at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
