Carrie is the daughter of Richard and Connie Spencer of Arvada. She is survived by her parents and her six brothers and five sisters: Quentin (Heather) Spencer of St. Louis, MO; Benjamin (Merideth) Spencer of Albuquerque, NM; Amy (Ryan) Walker of Harrisville, UT; Heidi (Alan) Vawdrey of Riverton, UT; Sabrina (Steve) Winder of Arvada, CO; Emily of Salt Lake City, UT; Lincoln, Kevin, Melanie (Ryan) Rice of Provo, UT; Ian and Jonathan; as well as her maternal grandparents, John and Louise Cullinan. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Albert and Vivian Crosby Spencer, formerly of Pleasant Grove, Utah.
Carrie was born May 22, 1984 in Denver, Colorado, twin sister of Kevin McCloskey Spencer. She attended schools in Arvada and graduated from Ralston Valley High School in 2002, where she had been active in music and cross country. While a high school student, she played violin in the Front Range Youth Symphony. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For the last three years she has been attending Utah Valley State College in Orem, Utah, studying sports and exercise science. She lived life to the fullest. She played the violin and piano from a young age, and also played flute and string bass. She loved basketball, snowboarding, and running. She loved an adventure; among her favorites were skydiving and running a marathon. She was a friend to everyone she met. Her 4 nieces and 5 nephews all loved her and she was a favorite aunt. Everything she did, she did with gusto. Hundreds of
people will miss her as their best friend.
