GOODWIN, CARROLL F. Carroll F. Goodwin, 76, of Denver died Oct. 7, 2004. Carroll was born Dec. 23, 1927 in Hereford, CO. He attended school in Hereford and Grover, CO. During WW II he served in the U. S. Navy. He married Mona M. Sherd in Greeley, CO on March 17, 1951. Mr. Goodwin graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1953. He taught school in Simla, CO and at Douglas County High School in Castle Rock. Later he moved to Denver and worked for Denver Department of Health and Hospitals and the Denver Urban Renewal Authority, later transferring to the U. S. Dep't. of Housing and Urban Development, from which he retired. He received many awards during his years of federal service, including being named an honorary citizen of Rapid City, SD after his work during the Rapid City flood recovery. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and his love-hate relationship with the Denver Broncos. He was a dedicated member of the York Street Club in Denver. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Jeanette Goodwin, a son, Eric (Cathy) Goodwine and three grandsons, Greg Hicks, Andrew & Keenan Goodwine, sister Patti Sprurer, and many nieces and nephews.
