Catherine ""Katie"" Grace Congdon

Catherine ""Katie"" Grace Congdon went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 21, 2010. She was born July 22, 1926 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Arch A. and Mary Lucile (French) Edwards. She lived in Oklahoma and Texas until age 8 when her family moved to Aurora, Colorado. She graduated from high school in Aurora and received a Library Associate Degree from Community College of Denver. She married Al Congdon on January 18, 1980. She was previously married to Gil Lockwood and Bailey Bourne. They are deceased. Katie was a telephone operator and a retired librarian. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Cedaredge and the Auxiliary of the Gideons International. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn (John) Brassel of Phoenix, Arizona; a son Michael (Kathryn) Lockwood of Aurora, Colorado; 3 stepchildren, Gene (Patty) Congdon of Englewood, Colorado; Pat (Dean) Anderson of Windsor, Colorado; and Margie (Rhandy) Rodgers of San Antonio, Texas; 20 grandchildren, and 41 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers. Memorial Services will be Monday, March 29, at 10:30AM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, Colorado.
